Submit an Essay (250 to 350 words): The field of journalism is an ample one. Hard News Journalism refers to the factual reporting of events such as politics, foreign affairs, and natural disasters. It is usually time-sensitive in nature and requires objective reporting. An editorial, on the other hand, may be based in fact, but its main purpose is not to inform, but to express opinion. As you prepare to go into the field of journalism, how would you ensure that your work is in the appropriate format according to the outlet and audience – hard news vs. editorial news?
In recent years, more and more journalists are being accused of delivering “fake” news or being perceived as not being objective in their reporting? What do you attribute this to?
