BROOKE DUNEFSKY

Podcast Host

Brooke is a junior in high school in New York, who loves to find creative solutions to complex issues. In 2020, just before the pandemic hit, she discovered that there was no podcast focused on helping people learn about great charities through interviews of their leaders. So, Brooke decided to launch Charity Talks. Thus far, Charity Talks has listeners in 44 U.S. states and 59 countries and features great nonprofits such as the Against Malaria Foundation, the Native American Rights Fund, and the Food Fortification Initiative.

In addition to working on her podcast, Brooke also enjoys STEM and was one of six nationwide winners of MIT’s 2020 THINK competition, which is a science, innovation, and technology competition. With funding from MIT, she was able to build her entry — entitled “A Self-Adapting Device That Utilizes Neuroplasticity for Rehabilitation of Stroke Victims” — and now has a patent pending for her invention. She also is a member of the Junior Academy of the New York Academy of Sciences.
